Throughout the year Gulfport PAL sponsors several events that assist in providing the necessary funding to maintain the programs offered to the youth of our community. Pal relies on the generosity of extraordinary citizens and corporations to provide the resources to keep our youth active, productive and safe. All of our programs are supervised by Gulfport Police Officers specifically trained to work with children and are assigned to direct youth activities and oversee the daily programs. With generous support of our community members these officers provide youngsters with proper guidance, life skills, and opportunities that will give them a better chance at a successful life.
An
annual event since 2007, the kickball
tournament is quickly gaining the reputation
of being the must see and do event of the
year. With fierce competition, rivalry
amongst regularly attending teams has ensued
adding to the fun and excitement.
Trophies are awarded to the top three teams
and a special prize is awarded for the team
with the most "unique" uniforms. The
first place team is honored with the title
of Coast Champions and their team/sponsor
name is engraved on the Champions Cup.
Bass Fishing Tournament
An
annual event since 2003, the fishing
tournament combines a south Mississippi past
time with the worthy cause of helping the
children of our community. Anglers
from all over the region get a chance to
compete for prizes in this freshwater
classic.
Annual Golf Tournament
An
annual activity for some time, this tournament has
become the social event of the year for area
golfers. Teams compete for a wide
array of prizes while enjoying a relaxing
game of golf at one of the area's finest
courses. Potential prizes have
included a brand new car from a local
dealership with a hole-in-one at several of
the greens. Refreshments are provided
as well as a banquet luncheon..

these, you support and help raise funds and
awareness of Gulfport PAL - making a
difference in the lives of thousands
of Gulfport City children. Every cent of every
dollar you give goes directly to support
Gulfport PAL programs.
Volunteers Needed
Opportunities to volunteer are available in all areas of Gulfport PAL, after school, evenings and weekends. Volunteers coach a wide range of sports, tutor children in homework help, assist with high school and college admissions, test preparation, resume writing, job interview techniques, learning crafts and exploring personal hobbies.
