Gulfport PAL is an independent, nonprofit agency depending primarily on support from private contributions. Although PAL is the official youth agency of the Gulfport Police Department, it receives no direct funding from them.
When you make a contribution to Gulfport PAL, you are making a difference in the lives of thousands of Gulfport City children. Every cent of every dollar you give goes directly to support Gulfport PAL programs.

Volunteers Needed

Opportunities to volunteer are available in all areas of Gulfport PAL, after school, evenings and weekends. Volunteers coach a wide range of sports, tutor children in homework help, assist with high school and college admissions, test preparation, resume writing, job interview techniques, learning crafts and exploring personal hobbies. If you have the time and are willing to make an ongoing commitment to PAL children, please call Gulfport PAL @ 228-868-5814.

Program Volunteers

1. Individual volunteers offer their own personal knowledge and experience in working with children in a variety of ways such as job training, tutoring, educational initiatives, performing arts, crafts or computers. Gulfport PAL has a great need for tutors.
2. Corporate volunteers from companies or corporations may provide support as individuals, in partnerships with fellow employees or in groups. A wide range of opportunities are available. In addition, PAL needs support and participation in special events.
Volunteers are asked to make a two-hour per week commitment. There is a mandatory background check for all volunteer applicants.

Special Contributions: Honor/Memorials are contributions in honor or memory of friends, family members, and loved ones. These can be made by simply adding the names of those involved when you submit your contribution. Please also include any names and addresses of individuals that are to be notified of your donation.

Matching Gifts are made by designating your contribution as a matching gift and including the appropriate Matching Gift form from your employer with your contribution.
